Approximate size 10.5cm x 1.5cm x 1.7cm
Sold individually
Voicing blocks for harpsichords, spinet and virginal plectra is a small hardwood block to support the plectra while trimming, shaping and voicing to give the desired tone, touch, volume of leather, delrin or quill plectra
Using a plectra trimming block : When trimming plectra to length and shaping the tip of the plectra, it is useful to have a hard surface against which to cut. Due to their tiny size it is often impractical to use a bench or cutting board to trim. Holding the block upright in one hand, turn the jack upside down and hold it against the side of the block with the thumb of the same hand, so that the top of the plectra lies flat on the end of the block. You can now trim the plectrum against the block using a razor blade or scalpel.
Ask for voicing notes if needed.
