Tuning

Piano Tuning and Harpsichord & Clavichord Tuning in selected areas of Greater London, the South East, Surrey and Kent. Please telephone our tuning department on 020 8852 1479 between 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday to book an appointment or to check if we have a piano tuner in your area, or call our main number 020 8318 5838 at other times. Messages may be left on the answer-phone out of hours and we will ring you back on our return. We tune pianos and harpsichords at private homes, educational establishments, churches and other places of faith and worship and venues. We tune central London to Purley and Croydon in the South and from Richmond west of London to Welling and Sidcup in the east, areas we cover include Central and South London (e.g. Dulwich, Lewisham, Herne Hill, Brockley, Blackheath and Greenwich) and Kent (e.g. Bromley, Bickley, Chislehurst, Keston, Beckenham, West Wickham, Orpington, Petts Wood, Bexley, Biggin Hill,  central Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Bexley) and East Surrey (inc. Croydon, Cheam, Sutton, New Malden and Shirley).

Tunings cannot be booked by e-mail, you may e-mail us any enquiry with the address and telephone number and we will call you to arrange.

Tuning Appointments cancelled less than 48 working hours before will be charged a half fee.

Piano Maintenance – some piano servicing and minor repairs can be undertaken in situ within our tuning area. Please ring us to discuss your instrument and your repair requirements. Maintenance of all types of piano and early keyboard instruments can be carried out at our comprehensive workshops.

Please note : plastic parts on modern upright pianos (particularly in the pedal section) can become brittle with time and can break, this is wear and tear and is not covered by a standard tuning and parts (if available) and time for replacement will be chargeable. If there are any problems with the piano do tell us when you book the tuning so we can inform the tuner and if necessary we can allow additional time (additional time will be chargeable as will spare parts or strings if required)

Tuning for Harpsichords, Clavichords, Spinets and Square pianos – many of these have handmade or unusual sized tuning pins, the tuners do not carry harpsichord, clavichord, spinet or square piano tuning hammer unless specified - please let us know when booking appointment if you have a tuning hammer for your instrument.
